The vision of H.O.P.E. first came while we lived overseas in Camp Zama, Japan. I told my husband I wanted to do something for women and children. When he asked what I wanted to do, I replied that I wanted to do something that would give them hope. My husband said that's the name then H.O.P.E. Helping Others Pursue Excellence. Due to the military, we relocated to Washington State. While there, we started doing outreach services (feeding the homeless, providing clothing and toiletries, mentoring to adults as well as at-risk children). Once my husband retired from the military, we relocated to Florida and decided that this would be home for us. Since being here, we've personally witnessed a heartfelt need for H.O.P.E. and decided that it was time to fulfill the vision that GOD had given us years ago.
Our mission is to be a nonprofit, dedicated and professional organization that restores those in need and empowers them to become responsible and productive members of our society. As my husband and I are both Veterans, we've seen the suffering and disenfranchisement of those who have served in the United States Military. Often overlooked as needing help, Veterans are our top priority as we extend our services. Our program services will further our exempt purpose as a charitable organization that provides a place of refuge for the hurting, poor and needy people which helps to restore and empower them to make their dream a reality. Funding support is open to the public at large, who believe in our mission and who donate freewill contributions. Donors may be individuals, churches, ministries, businesses, communities and other public and private entities.
